Kerstin Preiwuß, Germany

(c) Reiner Mnich

Kerstin Preiwuss was born in 1980 in Lübz and now lives with her family in Leipzig where she works as a freelance writer. She studied German, Philosophy and Psychology in Leipzig and Aix-en-Provence, gained her doctorate with a thesis on German-Polish place-names and is a graduate of the German Literature Institute and a member of German PEN. She has published several novels and collections of poetry, most recently Taupunkt (Berlin Verlag, 2016). Beate Tröger has written of the poems of Kerstin Preiwuss describing them as “poetic speaking that seems saturated with depths of individual experience but that can be discreetly turned over into something that speaks to all readers”.
