Sandra Ridley, born in Saskatchewan, is the author of four collections of poetry. Silvija (Book Thug 2016) was on the shortlist for the 2017 Griffin Poetry Prize. It includes dark elegies in which Ridley combines narrative poetry with experimental types of verse to speak about love and loss. She organises poetry workshops, offers comprehensive editing services via the Poetry Lab and teaches on the Writing Experience Programme at the Sage Hill School. She lives in Ottawa.
