Opposites attract – here too. In a video specially produced for the poesiefestival the artists set to music their own texts and those of others as various as their music – from Plath to Rilke, from Rumi to Norwegian Christian hymns that transform into melodic Sufi texts, from jazzy Polish-German Blues-Rock lyrics to settings of the Italian poems of Sara Ventroni and Gabriele Frasca. The result: subtlety meets deep passion and earthy grooves.
The texts are read and recited in English, German, Pashtu/Afghaani and Italian. With German subtitles.
