Tord Gustavsen, Norway

Tord Gustavsen, born 1970 in Oslo, Norway, jazz pianist and composer, is renowned for his melodious approach to contemporary chamber jazz and his way of narrating jazz history with Nordic, reflective atmospheres and lyrical beauty. Numerous awards, including CHOC Critics’ Prize (France), Bell Award (Australia) and Spellemannsprisen (Norway). He has released a total of eight albums on the German ECM Records label with his trio, quartet and extended ensemble as well as with Afghan-German singer Simin Tander.
