Ulrich Beckerhoff, Germany

Ulrich Beckerhoff, born 1947 in Münster, is a jazz musician and composer. He has been Professor for trumpet at the Folkwang University of the Arts (Essen), a teacher at many jazz workshops both nationally and internationally and is in the management team of jazzahead! (Bremen). Guest engagements, including for the Goethe Institute in eleven African countries, concerts all over Europe and Brazil. Beckerhoff composes music for films, theatre and radio plays and for various ensembles such as radio big bands and symphony orchestras. Collaborations with such musicians as John Taylor, David Liebman and Norma Winstone.
