Aurélie Maurin was born in Paris in 1975 and has lived in Berlin since 2000. She is a curator, literary translator (of such writers as Thomas Brasch and Thomas Rosenlöcher) and editor and is currently the head of the TOLEDO Programme of the German Translator Fund, for which she has initiated series such as Journale and Cities of translators as well as the JUNIVERS international meeting of translators of poetry. She also plays guitar and accordion and creates musical settings of poetry as bossa and chanson.
