Pablo Jofré

Pablo Jofré is a Chilean poet. In 2009 he won the Lagar Prize of the Chilean Gabriela Mistral National Literature Competition for Abecedario, in 2010 the Premio Ciudad Sant Andreu de la Barca and in 2016 the Writing Fellowship of the Chilean Culture Ministry. Jofré curates the reading series Traduttore, traditore! in the Berlin bookshop, featuring Latin American and German writers. He has translated the work of Nora Gomringer, Adrian Kasnitz and Elfriede Jelinek into Spanish and in 2017 and 2018 he was a Fellow of the Übersetzerhaus Looren and the European Translators’ College in Straelen. He leads the duo Jofre Meissner Project jointly with the Berlin musician Andi Meißner.
