Uljana Wolf

Uljana Wolf, born 1979 in Berlin, is a poet and translator. She studied German, English and Cultural Studies in Berlin and Krakow, has published four collections of poetry (most recently meine schönste lengevitch, kookbooks 2013) and numerous poetry translations. Her book of essays Etymologischer Gossip. Essays und Reden was published in early 2020 by kookbooks. Wolf teaches translation, literary writing and GFL at such institutions as the Pratt-Institute New York, New York University, the Vienna Institut für Sprachkunst and the German Literature Institute Leipzig. She held the August-Wilhelm-von-Schlegel Guest Professorship for the Poetics of Translation at the FU Berlin in the Autumn Semester 2019. Wolf is a member of the German Academy for Language and Poetry and of the German PEN.
