Birgit Kreipe, born in Hildesheim, studied Psychology and German and lives in Berlin, where she works a a writer and psychotherapist. As well as appearing widely in magazines and anthologies, she has published two collections, schönheitsfarm (Verlagshaus J. Frank, 2012) and SOMA. Gedichte (kookbooks, 2016). She has translated among others Bozena Spracova and Gwendolyn McEwen (together with Monika Rinck) into German. Awards and prizes for her poetry include the Munich Poetry Prize and the Irseer Pegasus.
