Moritz Rauchhaus was born in Berlin, where he lives and works as an author and essayist. He studied German Literature, Philosophy and European Literatures in Berlin, Rome and Bordeaux, gaining his doctorate with a thesis on the relationship between legend and novella in the Italian Late Middle Ages. He translates from Italian and French. His most recent publications include the essay Utopierpaolo in metamorphosen 25 (2019) and (together with Tobias Roth) the anthology Wohl bekam’s– In hundert Menus durch die Weltgeschichte (Verlag das kulturelle Gedächtnis, 2018).
