John Kinsella’s most recent poetry volumes include Drowning in Wheat: Selected Poems (Picador, 2016), Open Door (University of Western Australia Press, 2018), The Wound: Poems after Buile Suibhne and Friedrich Hölderlin (Arc, 2018), and Insomnia (Picador, 2019). He has also written fiction, criticism, and plays, and often works in collaboration with other writers, artists, musicians, and activists. He is a Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge University, and Professor of Literature and Environment, Curtin University, Western Australia, but most relevantly is a vegan anarchist pacifist of over thirty five years with a passionate commitment to ecological and social justice.
