jô osbórnia, born 1990, is a trans non-binary migrant poet, translator and performer. Following the coup d’état by the media and judiciary in Brazil in 2016 they moved from Rio de Janeiro to Berlin with a fellowship from the poesiefestival berlin / Haus für Poesie. They are a student of German Literature and Hungarology at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the founder of KUIR, an independent and collaborative project for promoting queer poetry writing. They have performed at venues including the Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival in Thessaloniki, the Artlake Festival and Berlin Spoken Words. Their first book of verse is forthcoming as a bilingual collection from Primata (São Paulo, Brazil).
